High School Graduation Mass & Luncheon
This great tradition recognizes our parish graduates and affirms their importance to our parish community. On graduation day, or thereabout, the graduates wear their caps and gowns and receive a special blessing at the 11:00 a.m. Mass. This is followed by luncheon for the graduates and their families in the Parish Hall.

Lenten Fish Fries
The Lenten Fish Fries are held on Fridays throughout Lent. This popular community-wide event, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus with assistance from the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, is open to the public. In order to run efficiently, this event requires help from many volunteers in areas including hall set-up, food prep, cooking, serving, dishwashing and clean-up. To join in on the fun and get to know your fellow parishioners, call the coordinator today.
Meets: Fridays throughout Lent, except Good Friday, 4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Parish Family Night
This is a parish wide event that promotes fellowship amongst the parishioners of St. James, Our Lady of the Assumption, & St. John’s of Claybanks. There is food, volleyball, and friendship shared.
When: July through September

Steak Fry Dinner
Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus and Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, this Steak Fry Dinner is open to all adult parishioners and is held in the Parish Hall in October of each year. Tickets are sold in advance.

St. James Day Celebration
This family event allows our parish family to celebrate the Feast of our Patron, St. James the Greater, Apostle and Mar-tyr. This is a fun-filled afternoon that includes great food, children’s games and activities as well as fun for adults. Volunteers are needed for cooking, baking, setting up, serving, helping with games and activities and cleaning up.
When: Annually, around July 25th

Sunday Coffee & Rolls
Stop by the Parish Hall to enjoy coffee, punch and rolls following the morning Masses. Also provided is the opportunity to visit and get to know other fellow parishioners. Additional helping hands are always welcome for setting up, making coffee and cleaning up. Schedule is made on a rotating basis.

Valentine Dinner Dance
This event is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus along with assistance from the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. Included are hors d’oeuvres, dinner and dancing with non-alcoholic beverages provided. The even is held in February each year and tickets are purchased in advance.
